Rizwaan

do?

Rizwaan specializes in mindfulness and body-oriented therapies. Within Tinzo, he develops exercises that help to better cope with stress, tension, and the perception of tinnitus. His exercises are practical and accessible, and they form an important part of the daily support that Tinzo provides.

About

Rizwaan started his career as a physiotherapist in 2011. He then worked for nine years in a rehabilitation centre, where he supported people with chronic pain and since 2014 also helped clients with tinnitus. Since 2021, he has had his own practice ‘Presence’ in Nijmegen, focusing on online and offline tinnitus coaching. So far, he has helped over 350 people reduce their tinnitus burden by learning to deal with the sound differently, without it needing to control their lives. He combines physiotherapy with insights from mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This helps clients consciously explore and let go of physical tension, thoughts, and emotions. His approach supports them in accepting tinnitus, developing greater mental resilience, and living in line with their values. Rizwaan works from the conviction that you do not have to suffer from tinnitus if you know how to learn to experience the sound neutrally. This personal experience – he has tinnitus himself but does not suffer from it – inspires and supports his mission to help others grow in control and peace.
